The 8th SIA Award Book

The SIA Architectural Design Awards was implemented to promote and encourage excellence in architectural design and innovative architectural solutions. It aims at heightening the appreciation and patronage of good architecture from both the architectural fraternity as well as the general public. A book is always published to celebrate the winners, and the jury’s citations on each project allows for insight and contemplation.

This book was designed to be hung on a doorknob, framing an intimate yet often overlooked design detail. In it are the best of architectural design. Those who made the mark probably went into this level of design interest to garner them a place in this book. Like a swatch that allows flexibility in the way the pages can be laid, it can be personalised by the owner. For instance, a firm can choose to tear off the page that contains their winning project(s) and hang it on a doorknob. We hoped that that would spur the winners to tear off their entries and display them!
