Very! is a fabulous video production house that creates quite smashing content! We love their work, and more importantly, their cooking! Check out their website to have a closer look at their work. Chances are you’ve probably already seen some of their work on TV!
Their brief to us was simple: Put them on the web, and make their website quirky and fun!
We wanted to infuse the website with the characters and personalities behind the Very! crew. Since we see them often, we decided to do caricatures of all of them. We spent quite abit of time getting their facial expressions and body language right, and once the caricatures were done, the rest of the web fell easily into place.
The two long bars on the tops and bottoms of the website reminds one of the black bars of the television screen. The menu bar eschews the ‘usual’ home, about, contact, etc terms and replaces them with Pack, Talk, Shoot & Watch. This makes navigation of the Very! website more personal, as opposed to a more detached approach.
Scattered through the site also are personal effects of the Very crew, each imbued with meaning and stories of their travels. Ask them about the illustrations on the left side as well! They are adapted from the designs of their namecards. Ask them for their namecards when you meet them!
